Location
- 16-22 years
Student Age Range
- Range of functioning in specific domains: Grade 1 – Grade 6
- Specific and pervasive developmental disorders/disabilities including autism spectrum disorders
General Developmental/Instructional Level
- Continuation of public school placement for high school children with substantial communication and learning disabilities or autism spectrum and pervasive developmental disorders
- Needs in the domains of academic learning, communication, attention, and behavior that can be met with 1:2 programming ratios
Entrance Criteria
- Deficits in two or more domains: academic, social, communication
- Programming staff: student ratios of 1:2 to meet educational goals
- Community-based vocational skills training
- Intensive focus on vocational/job skills training and social-communication and functional academic skills, with utilization of social skills training that addresses learning styles
Specific Needs, Disabilities, Interventions & Programming Methods
- General functioning consistent with less restrictive programming
- Ability to acquire skills in a less specialized and less intensive learning environment
