Location
- 14-19 years
Student Age Range

- Range of general functioning: borderline to superior spanning instructional levels at Grade 9 – Grade 12
- Needs in domains of social skills development and academic preparation for college/post-secondary education
- Depression, adjustment problems, and learning disorders
General Developmental/Instructional Level
- First or continuation public school program for students with inhibiting adjustment disorders, social/emotional fragility or specific learning disabilities
- Intellectual functioning within the normal range
- Needs can be met, and behavior managed, in mainstream setting with programming ratio of 1:3
Entrance Criteria
- Specific learning and mild behavioral or adjustment disorders; emotional vulnerabilities
- Learning differences in academic and social skills
- Language-based curriculum with individualized mainstreaming
- Therapeutic milieu with clinical support services
- Staff:student ratio of 1:3 to meet adjustment and instructional goals
Specific Needs, Disabilities, Interventions & Programming Methods
- Adequate attention and self-control, social interaction skills, and instructional readiness for less restrictive environment
- Graduation by age 19
